Need a Handicap Index?

You can obtain a Handicap Index by  submitting 3 cards from rounds played at Wycombe Heights (54 holes in total). You can do this by playing in any of the competitions, with a Committee member or with any Senior acknowledged as 'trusted' by the Handicap Secretary. If you choose to play in a competition please let the organiser know you are ‘playing for handicap’ so that they can put you out at the back of field so as not to hold up normal play. If not playing in an organised competition, you should let the Handicap Secretary know, before you play, that your scorecard will be submitted for handicap. You must indicate which tee was used i.e. Yellow or White.

For handicap allocation purposes, the maximum score that can be recorded for any hole is ‘Par + 5’ (i.e. 8 on a Par 3, 9 on a Par 4 and 10 on a Par 5). So, if during your round, on any hole,  your stroke score is more than Par + 5 then please pick up and score your card for that hole accordingly. You do not have to ‘putt out’ on every hole if your score exceeds Par + 5. Take a photo of your card and email it to the Handicap Secretary.

The 3 cards are entered into the HandicapMaster computer system and an appropriate Handicap Index is  automatically calculated. As you play and submit scores for further rounds your Handicap Index will be recalculated each time until you have the minimum of 8 admissible scores. You will be notified of your Handicap Index, which can be up to 54, by email. You will also be able to see your Handicap Index details and details of future competitions you play via the HandicapMaster Master Scoreboard website, which can be accessed via the Seniors website.
